I have never done a food tour before. What can I expect?

Expect to try a selection of delicious food, wines and cocktails, learn about different venues, cuisines and the amazing food scene on the Gold Coast and Brisbane, make new friends and have plenty of fun!

Is there alcohol on the tours?

Wine provided is for sampling only and is not unlimited. There is also no option to substitute wine for other alcoholic beverages however, venue’s may choose to offer guests to purchase other drinks at special prices. Alcohol will only be served to guests over 18 years of age. Gourmet Adventures encourages responsible drinking. Please keep in mind, if you would like to enjoy wine or other alcoholic drinks on the tour, we recommend to organise alternative transport so you won’t have to drive.

Should I eat before I come on the tour?

We provide a substantial number of generous tastings. If you do choose to eat before the tour, we recommend something very light so that you can still enjoy all of the amazing food.

How long do the tours last?

Tours last for up to 5 hours, giving you plenty of time to eat and drink at a comfortable pace. With so much amazing food to enjoy and new friends to make, the time flies.

Will the venues and food change at any time?

Yes. The venues we visit and the food provided may differ from tour to tour. We love to showcase fresh, seasonal produce and keep up to date with the latest food trends and best venues on the Gold Coast and Brisbane. We work hard to design an experience that reflects that.

I have a special dietary requirement. Can I still come on the tour?

Vegetarian and Gluten free is available on all of our tours. Please let us know ahead of time so that we can inform the venues. Other options may some times be difficult. However, we will always try our hardest to accommodate your needs whenever we can.

Are there any extra costs on the tour?

All information and food is included in the tour cost, as well as drinks at a minimum of 3 of the venues. Although there is no pressure, you are given the opportunity to purchase additional drinks if you would like at several of the venues.

What is your mobility policy?

Our tours usually take  up to 5 hours. We walk at a moderate pace to the different venues and our guests have frequent breaks. We ask that you ensure your footwear and clothing is appropriate.

Can you do tours for special events or corporate functions?

Yes! Our tours are a unique way to celebrate with friends or colleagues over food and wine. We love hosting hens parties, birthday parties, Christmas parties, staff gatherings, team building activities or any other events.

Do you do gift vouchers?

Yes. Our food tours are a wonderful, unique gift to give to friends and family that they are unlikely to forget! Please see our terms and conditions for more information.

I have a voucher, when does it expire?

Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from date of purchase and are not redeemable for cash.

How many people are needed on each tour for it to go ahead?

A minimum of 10 people is needed for each tours to proceed.

Can children go on the tours?

Unfortunately our tours are not designed for children. Alcohol, and foods more suited to an adult palate may feature on the menus.

What do I need to bring? Dress Code

As the tours are walking tours, please wear comfortable shoes, a hat and sun block. Remember to bring an umbrella if the weather calls for it. Our Queensland lifestyle is laid back, however smart-casual will always look appropriate in bars and restaurants.

How do I pay for my tour?

Our ticketing and payments are handled through the Book Now and Voucher links above. Booking is simple and you only need to bring your ticket receipt with you on the day.

I am making a group booking, when do I need to pay?

Group bookings are available for groups of 10+ guests. To confirm your group tour we require a non-refundable deposit at time of booking. This deposit is equal to the equivalent of four (4) full priced tickets for groups up to 20 guests. A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking for groups of more than 20 guests.

Full payment for group/private bookings need to be finalised at least 6 weeks prior to the tour date.

What is the policy for cancellations or refunds?

We are aware that guests sometimes need to change their plans.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer cash refunds.

If WE need to cancel a tour due to inclement weather, or unforeseen circumstances we will offer you the option to reschedule your tour. Notification of any tour cancellation is provided by call or text to your mobile phone or email address. We aim to provide at least 24 hours notice.
